High Five for Friday {and} Book Review

Friday Already??? I'll take it! Here are the top five from my week...

1. Had my weekly sono and dr visit on Wednesday. We got great news! Ben now weighs 4lbs 8ozs. God has really taken care of my little bug and our risks are very low now. I get to stop the medicine for my contractions on Tuesday and we scheduled our C-Section for March 21st if we can go full term. YAY! I talked last Friday about a friend having her baby girl. Well baby is here, but she is a BOY! Yes, all the prep work and you have to change everything in a second. So of course I was a little worried, even though we have had over 20 sonograms. Well, Wednesday we checked again and... STILL A BOY! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Here is possibly the last picture of our Ben before he is born.

2. Yesterday was COLD {today is too. and rainy}. Not a fan of the cold, but I do love putting the jackets on the fur babies. Peanut's jacket always flips up. I'm guessing it is because he a little plumper. Went out with them and took some pictures yesterday. I love our view from our yard! So peaceful here!

3. I assumed we had everything to make dinner last night and misjudged. Oops! So we ordered my fav pizza from a little family owned shop {the only restaurant in the town I live in. yup no fast food in this tiny town, or grocery store, or anything but a gas station}. I don't know how they make this, but it is so good!

4. Love this new app! Red Stamp. It is a free app that you can make cute little cards to text, email or even have printed out. I've played with it all week! I've been making V-Day cards and texting them to Greg all week. I know he secretly loves it.

5. Hubby hung the computer screen for me {I can mark that off my 52 in 2012 list}. I have so much room on the desk now. Next task with the office is to clean up desktop & organize it, and decorations for over the screen. Now that I see this picture, I've decided I want to paint the desk and add hardware to the drawers. I'm adding to my 52 in 2012. See Greg's response when I texted him about it this morning. Such a funny man!
Is it weird that I still have my husband under first and last name in my phone? He is the only Greg. Hmmm...

Book Review
Bestselling author Stormie Omartian inspires women to develop a deeper relationship with their husbands by praying for them. This encouraging resource is packed with practical advice on praying for specific areas of a husband’s life including his
  • decision–making
  • fears
  • spiritual strength
  • role as father, leader
  • faith and future
Every woman who desires a closer relationship with her husband will appreciate the life illustrations, select Scripture verses, and the assurances of God’s promises and power for their marriage.

While on Pinterest last week one of my friends pinned this book. I've heard about it for quite some time, but Greg and I have such an amazing relationship that I never paid much thought to picking it up. {Plus I always pray for my husband each day, so I didn't need the help} Well, when I clicked on the pin it took me to a website with a 30 day challenge. 30 days of reading a chapter a day and praying {I mean focused praying} for your husband. So I took the challenge after looking at the book again and I have learned so much about praying for my husband. Each day focuses on a different area of his life. So much falls on the men in our lives as the leaders of our homes and relationships. Only amazing things can come from this. I'm almost half way through and I've enjoyed every minute of it. {The first chapter is hard because it focuses on praying for your husband's wife! Yup that's you. You have to take this challenge with an open heart. It is so selfless.} Greg doesn't know I'm doing this, but did tell me this morning he feels so great and refreshed. I just smiled inside!

Love reading your posts :) Little Ben is so cute, I can't wait to see him in the outside world! My due date was March 19th, but I miscarried a couple months ago. It is exciting to see your baby updates because they would be slightly similar to mine.

Greg sounds an awful lot like my boyfriend...he doesn't think everything needs a fresh coat of paint like me ;)

Found you through #FF. :) I'm now following. That book about the Praying Wife sounds really interesting. I recently discovered a really powerful devotional-type book called Plan B, and I'm just loving it and learning a lot. Anyway, hope you have a lovely Friday!

Mmmmmmm that pizza looks good! It's amazing what a little bit of hardware can do to dress up a drawer or door! Happy Friday!
