Such a Slacker on a Monday Morning

It is 10:30 am and I am just now getting out of bed. Well, I take that back. I'm getting out of bed for the second time today. Since being on bed rest I still get up with hubby, have breakfast, we have our time with God together as a couple (love it!!!) and see him off to work. He is an early riser so our day starts at roughly 5:30 am. After he leaves I have my quiet time with a cup of coffee (decaf of course) and then blog.

Today though I'm not great! I haven't been sick since I quit teaching last Spring and now I just feel plain yucky! I blame it on Target. Yes, Target. Hubby and I went to get lunch on Saturday and I begged him to let me stop by there and pick out a swim suit. (random, I know) I thought that this one little item of clothing would help me when Ben arrives in a few short weeks to get back in shape. (I have been restricted on activity since the day we found out I was pregnant. I can only imagine how long it will take to get back into shape.) So I was in there a whole 10 mins, if even that. But so was EVERYONE else in the near vicinity of my town. I just know someone didn't practice proper sneezing, coughing or hand cleaning and now I'M SICK!

Just in case you were wondering, here is what the CDC says is the proper way to sneeze, cough and wash your hands.

So I finally get up today because the plumber is here installing our new hot water heater and toilet in the spare bathroom. You know you have hit Adulthood when getting a new toilet installed makes you excited! The previous toilet was 70s green and had to go. Hubby found a stamp on it from 1971. Being installed as we speak is the Jewel of all Thrones! You can flush 8 golf balls down this toilet at one time and it won't even phase it. Perfect toilet for a child's bathroom! Although I could see it in Hubby's eyes that he is wanting to test it. Gonna have to watch him! It also has a No Slam Lid, which I am still explaining to Greg does NOT mean it shuts itsself. On any note, very excited for the update.

Another task I need to complete this week is packing for the hospital. We are 37 days from delivery and I stop the Procardia tomorrow. I'm not a fan of being unprepared, so I'm making my packing lists today and plan on accomplishing the task tomorrow. After packing comes the installation of the car seat. (I may video tape that one to post. I'm sure it will be beyond comical!) Any advice on what to pack??? We will be there at least 2 nights due to the c-section.

And last but, not least this morning I'm linking with A Complete Waste of Makeup to let you know a little more about me.
1. Tell us why you blog
I posted for the first time a month ago today. YAY! I have always been an avid blog reader and had a friend of mine suggest that I begin blogging. I was very intimidated at first and set the blog up for quite a while before I would actually post on it. Now, I can't imagine not doing it. I look forward to sharing each day. I know when I look back in a year and read the posts about the end of my pregnancy I will be even more thankful for this blog.

2. Tell us about your blog
My blog is just the randomness of my life. What I love, what I cook, my home, my craftiness (or lack of), and My men-Greg, Baxter, Peanut, and almost here Ben.

3. Tell us about you
I'm a small town girl living in a lonely world. Or I was until I met Greg. I grew up in Oklahoma and left my small town to go to college here in Texas. I've never moved back home (which my parents say they always knew I wouldn't). I loved college. I lived in the sorority house all four years and wouldn't trade my Kappa Delta sisters, memories, or time there for anything. After college I began teaching and living life in Dallas. I then moved to a smaller district and town that boomed and taught for another 6 years. When I met Greg, I knew right away he was the one I would marry. After 5 months we were engaged and planning a wedding. When we married we knew we wanted babies right away and teaching doesn't allow for part-time work, so I resigned and for the first time in my adult life I was not a teacher. Scary! However, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm a Jesus lover and strive each day to become a better person and be a living example of His love and grace. I am a super organizer with a little OCD on the side. I love working on our house and making it a home. I'm an awesome shopper and can find a great deal. I'm pretty crafty and love figuring things out. Google anyone?? What did we do before the internet? I'm currently learning digital photography and editing.

4. Tell us about your job
I work part-time for a small electrical repair and home security company. BEST PLACE TO WORK!!! Before pregnancy I did the HR and office management. After baby I will go back and have a mainly project-based position, large marketing projects mainly.

5. Tell us about your city
I live just east of Dallas in a very small town. I mean no stop lights, 1 gas station, 1 restaurants, no fast food, and no post office small. It is great! The town is built around the lake (which our water doesn't come from. weird!) and pretty much every house has a view or access to the lake.

6. Tell us about your favorite activities/hobbies/things to do
I love being at home cooking and crafting, but we lead a busy life. Greg and I are very involved in our growing church doing outreaches and working with small groups. We love going to his parents lake house (where we got engaged and sshhhh! don't tell conceived Ben. hehehe) and just being with family and friends cooking out, being at the lake, going to dinner. We love traveling and take a week long trip every year.

7. Tell us anything you want!
Anything? Well, I'm shocked that in a month I already have 48 followers. I'm planning on doing a giveaway at 50 followers. My favorite things, I think. I thought I would have more time to plan.

Have a Marvelous Monday! What is left of it...
